BuddyPress Mass Messaging is a very simple plugin for WordPress/BuddyPress that allows BuddyPress site admins to send individual messages to all members. Sending individual messages is sometimes better than the default notification feature because it also sends the user an email alert. You can download it from the WordPress plugin repo here.
